6 Locke Street will be a new venue for History Center programs, and it will be available to our community for rentals. Its most significant feature is the large Hall. The dramatic wooden ceiling soars two stories high. Light from large windows floods the room.
Wonderful acoustics make the Hall the perfect place for performances and programs. Individuals, families and groups will be able to rent the Hall for events, performances, classes, cultural celebrations and meetings.
Important Note: 6 Locke Street will be an additional property for the History Center — not a replacement. The History Center has called the Blanchard House and 97 Main St. home since 1929, and we’re not going anywhere!
The Blanchard House is a wonderful historic home. It’s where you’ll find period rooms, changing exhibits, the barn and our library and archives. And it will always be here for you.
Please see our Q&A for more information about the purchase, the 6 Locke Street building, and what the acquisition will mean for the History Center and our community.
If you have questions, please do not hesitate to reach out to me at the History Center, 978-475-2236, or email me at eclements@andoverhistoryanculture.org.
We look forward to showing you 6 Locke Street sometime soon!
Thank you!
